I have been to their original location on Spring Mountain many times previously because of their excellent Chinese breakfast with the Yieu Tiew (Chinese oil sticks) and bean paste drinks both sweet and salty. Their original location can get unbelievably busy when tour groups book with them causing huge accommodations problems for them. With the opening of new restaurant that serve similar menu breakfast items in the Chinatown area at slightly lower prices but also slightly inferior products, and the additional problem of distance from my home to Chinatown in my case, I have cut down on my visits there in this past year. With the opening of this new location which cuts down on the distance factor by 80pct, and offering the same menu items serving hot fresh food and with an excellent staff at the store serving full time, this is fast becoming a favorite breakfast joint for me and my family now!
I highly recommend visiting this location which is clean, with ample parking spaces, good food and nicely located in the new Southwest on S. Jones Blvd next to Taste Restaurant you should definitely give it a few tries in the mornings when you are up for the experience. They also have their veggies and meat baos/buns on sale here. Good luck, sit back and enjoy a great Chinese traditional breakfast here! -

So much better than the old location! Their younger much friendlier staff were I think the best part of the restaurant.
The food was always good but the service back then didn't give them the stars it deserved. Oyster
Omelets and stinky tofu is what I come here for, but my new favorite is their rice rolls!
I have to do a real Taiwanese breakfast soon with the salty soybean milk. It looked so good -

Nice little spot! It still seems a bit makeshift, but the food here is really fresh and tastes homemade. This is some serious Chinese soul food!
I recommend their frozen dumplings to go, the spicy wontons and the beef rolls. -

There is one in Chinatown already and they open another one in southwest area . The food is good and there r a lot of Taiwanese street food ! The good thing is they open at 8 am and I think my families can have breakfast everyday here!
After my son finished his breakfast , the girl gave him little treat with different fruit . So nice ! -

I was very excited when I heard Yi Mei came to Las Vegas. Buuuut living in the southwest area, I was often too lazy to make a trek out to Chinatown. So when this location in the SW area opened, I was ecstatic!
Yi Mei is your typical chain Taiwanese breakfast spot. Quick and cheap eats. They have lunch items too but I usually come for breakfast. If you haven't been to this location, it may be slightly difficult to find because they haven't really took off the Café Summer sign so look for that sign for now.
Now, I usually don't really judge Asian places by their ambiance, cleanliness, or their customer service because they're simply not known for that. Inside, it looked exactly like café summer with some fridges moved in and some red table cloths thrown on. I can move pass that. Their customer service was great and attentive. Now on to the food..
Salted rice roll ($4.25): 5/5
This is usually my go to order. Imagine this as a Chinese burrito with rice as the tortilla, wrapped around a Chinese fried donut. It's carb overload but oh so good. It is honestly large enough to be a full entree if you're not starving.
Radish pancake ($4.99): 4/5
A little pricy for two pieces. It's one of my fav things to order at dim sum. They made it extra crispy here and I enjoyed the sauce they provided. Don't go ham on the sauce though it's very salty.
Old fashioned meat sauce w rice & egg ($6.50): 4/5
This is basically their minced meat over rice w a tea egg. Don't ask me why they call it old fashioned sauce lol. I love this dish!
Xiao long bao (soup dumplings): 1/5
They're usually not very good at Yi Mei, even at the other location so Idk why I continue to order it. The 1 Star is not so much for the taste but the carelessness in how the xlb was made. Xlbs are normally placed separated inside the steaming basket so that the skin doesn't break and soup doesn't spill. 8 out of 10 was touching and soup all spilled out. Disappointing.
Not to end this on a bad note but yi mei has a large menu with lots of goodies on there. Check it out, this place is great and very welcomed on the SW side. I'll be back!
